The roles of risk professionals can frequently be expansive.  The ability to maintain self-care during priority transitions plays an important role in diminishing a negative impact on this demanding occupation.  A seasoned risk professional will share her experiences and explain how incorporating the practice of yoga elements while both in and out of the workplace have helped to promote positivity, balance, and resiliency.  The benefits of yoga will be reviewed. The session will conclude with some beginner level exercises that can be performed while at work.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss the importance of self-care while in the workplace.
  2. Delineate the role yoga can play in promoting a healthy mind-body connection at work.
  3. Demonstrate chair yoga and focused stretching exercises that can help manage routines.
